PROGRAMS AND/OR ASSESSMENTS TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service are applicable to both parents and children attending or participating in any or all programs and/or assessments associated with The Paper Tree House, LLC.

GENERAL TERMS

​

1. The directors reserve the right, at their discretion, to withdraw any participant whose influence or actions are deemed unsatisfactory, dangerous, or incompatible with the Programs and/or Assessments, or who will not live within the rules and policies of The Paper Tree House, LLC. If this occurs, no reduction or return of fee, or any part thereof, will be made. Parents will also be responsible for any extra costs associated with their child's early departure.
2. Participants are required to maintain the highest standard of conduct at all times. Using profanity, disparaging dialogues, physical violence, or threats during participation in the Programs and/or Assessments is strictly prohibited. Rules and instructions provided by The Paper Tree House, LLC staff must be followed at all times.
3. By accepting these Terms of Service, the parent confirms that his or her child has permission to participate in all programs, trips, special outings planned and supervised by The Paper Tree House, LLC.
4. I hereby consent to my child receiving medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during any activity and understand that THE PAPER TREE HOUSE, LLC (and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, partners, and agents, activity holders, and sponsors), ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for any medical expenses and/or treatment.‎
5. Parent is advised and agrees that animals, including, but not limited to, mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish, arachnids, and insects will be present at all locations where Programs and/or Assessments operate.
6. All prescription medicine provided by a licensed doctor must be turned into The Paper Tree House, LLC staff upon arrival with instructions in English. This will be dispensed by The Paper Tree House, LLC staff only.
7. All personal belongings are the responsibility of the participant, unless loss or damage is proven to be due to The Paper Tree House, LLC's negligence. Expensive and treasured items such as jewelry, designer clothes or shoes, trainers, etc., should not be brought to the Programs and/or Assessments.
8. All participants are prohibited from bringing or using all tobacco products, alcohol, and drugs of any kind.
9. No electronic equipment, including but not limited to: mobile phones, computers, TVs, and video games are allowed during Programs and/or Assessments. No food items, including candy or any nuts related food, are allowed. Please do not send packages containing any of these items.
10. Parents agree to support Programs and/or Assessments by encouraging participants to abide by the highest standards of positive conduct. They will discuss constructive concerns, if any, regarding Programs and/or Assessments, staff behavior, or company policies with The Paper Tree House, LLC management.
11. Parents agree to pay for property damage caused directly or indirectly as a result of the negligent actions of their child.
12. By accepting these Terms of Service, the parent confirms his or her acceptance that his or her child may be pictured/photographed and that such material can be used by The Paper Tree House, LLC and/or The Paper Tree House, LLC’s business partners for promotion or marketing purposes.
13. The copyright of all photography appearing on our brochures or websites belongs to The Paper Tree House, LLC. No reproduction may be made without prior permission from The Paper Tree House, LLC management.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY – Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form

1. I, ON BEHALF OF MY CHILD, HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PAPER TREE HOUSE, LLC, including, by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. I, on behalf of my child, also assume all risks resulting from any and all interactions with animals at all locations where Programs and/or Assessments operate.
2. I certify that my child is physically fit, has sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in these Programs and/or Assessments, and has not been advised not to participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my child’s participation in these Programs and/or Assessments. THE PAPER TREE HOUSE, LLC EMPLOYEES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MY CHILD’S HEALTH OR MEDICATIONS.‎
3. I, on behalf of my child, acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by The Paper Tree House, LLC, sponsors, partners, organizers of the activity in which my child may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity.‎
4. THE PAPER TREE HOUSE, LLC IS NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY BODY INJURY OF ANY PARTICIPANT OR ANY PERSON RELATED TO THE PARTICIPANT.‎
5. I, on behalf of my child, WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of THE PAPER TREE HOUSE, LLC., EMPLOYEES, related entities or persons released, for my child’s death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to my child including my child’s participation, traveling to and from these activities, events, or any related activities, including any and all interactions with animals, with The Paper Tree House, LLC and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, partners, and agents, and the activity holders and sponsors.‎
6. I, on behalf of my child, INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned herein from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in these Programs and/or Assessments, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise.‎
7. I, on behalf of my child, acknowledge that The Paper Tree House, LLC and their directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf.‎
8. I, on behalf of my child, acknowledge that these Programs and/or Assessments may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and carry with them the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, animal encounters, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants but are also present for volunteers.‎
9. This Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.‎
10. I, ON BEHALF OF MY CHILD, CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.‎

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Registration and Deposit fees are non-refundable. All sales are FINAL. No REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
2. Cancellations made prior to 60 days from the start of the program will be issued a refund minus the Registration Fee/Deposit.
3. After this period, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
4. Cancellations made prior to 30 days from the start of the program due to medical reasons, fully documented with a physician’s written explanation, may receive a 50% refund of the program payments (excluding deposit/registration).
5. Cancellations made by The Paper Tree House LLC. due to weather or other reasons will be refunded minus registration and deposit fees.
6. You may transfer your registration fees or payments to another person at no cost.

By payment of any sum to The Paper Tree House, LLC., you are acknowledging your agreement to the Terms of Service of The Paper Tree House, LLC. (including our NO REFUND policy) as described herein.
